Cassie Chee is a solidarity centered storyteller—sometimes Pastor, sometimes Organizer, sometimes Artist. She was raised on Coast Salish land (Kirkland, Washington) and is pili to Hawaiʻi through her Dad’s side. Her lineage is rooted in Okinawa, China, and Korea and her theology rooted in womanism (Black feminisms), postcolonialism, and ʻāina. She believes home is the place that feeds you and is grateful to call Kalauao home.

“The time of choosing has indeed come upon us. We can choose the ways of imperial violence, where might makes right and the powerful prey on the vulnerable. Or we can choose the ancient ways of our ancestors, who understood that true strength lies not in the ability to dominate others, but in the ability to create conditions where everyone can thrive.”
